Schools
We will work with any school in Ohio that has or plans to start a Chinese language program. In addition, we will work closely with selected partner schools to create model Chinese language programs.
The OSU K-12 Chinese Flagship Program is working with seven partner schools in the 2008-09 school year. We have agreed to work closely on the following:
- Use the same or similar curriculum so we can improve a common curriculum in the future;
- Provide professional development opportunities to teachers of Chinese;
- Connect the partner schools with similar schools in Ohio and China through technology and exchange visits to bring learning opportunities to students and teachers;
- Evaluate partner school programs to offer recommendations for improvement.
